Am trying to find what content got deleted from my Jive communities in the last day ?
Is there any API i can try ? i have tried few things but nothing worked.
Regards, Rohan Kasat
You can't use the API. Instead, you should use the DES. See for more details: Using the V2 Jive Data Export Service (Analytics) | AureaWorks
An example query may look like:
Do we need to purchase the Analytics service or its available with the Jive.
We have out cloud Jive instance.
You should have access unless it was manually turned off. Your CSM would be able to assist. Assuming you have admin access to your Jive instance, you should be able to check if you see the appropriate links in the Add-ons section. (See screenshot below. Let me know if you can't see the image. Sometimes Jive doesn't like it when I upload items)
Am able to see analytics services tab in the add-ons.
I assume that means we have access to Jive Analytics services , will just go ahead , register a third party app and try out the same.
Do we need to use POST for OAuth and then the GET service ?
Go ahead and add the client. After adding the client, you should be able to get the clientId & clientSecret from the addon. Using those credentials, you will execute a POST request using a similar URL as shown below. Replace the test values with your real credentials.
Executing the POST request will generate the Authorization Key. You will need to add the Authorization Key as a header to each of your DES requests.
value: Authorization Key
Alternatively, you can use your client credentials with the DES UI (works best in Chrome Incognito for me)
EDIT: My response somehow got butched and cut out in the middle. It looked perfect when I posted it; re-adding now. Sorry! I'm blaming Jive...
Let me give it a try.
there is the deletedObjects endpoint in the Jive REST API. I have never used it, but it is worth to give it a try...
