Core

Edit  ~jive/applications/sbs/home/jive_startup.xml file:

<password encrypted="false">new_password</password>

Restart Jive - password will be encrypted during startup.

EAE (aka Activity Engine)

UPDATE jiveProperty SET propValue = 'new_password' WHERE name = '__jive.eae.db.password';
UPDATE jiveProperty SET propValue = 'false' WHERE name = '__jive.eae.db.password.encrypted';

Restart Jive - password will be encrypted during startup.

Analytics

Before restarting Jive, disable Analytics from Admin Console.

After restarting Jive configure Analytics DB as for the first time. Just type URL, username and password, test connection and save all settings.

If you did not disable Analytics before changing DB password and can't start Jive you have to manipulate jiveProperty table:

  1. UPDATE jiveProperty SET propValue ='false'WHERE name ='__jive.analytics.enabled';
  2. Restart Jive
  3. Configure Analytics DB connection from scratch
