How to disable or enable Community Digest emails for all users

Summary

Sometimes, it is necessary for community managers to disable Community Digests globally for all users.

 

Cloud:

Community digests can be disabled for Jive Cloud communities. Requests to disable community digests in Jive Cloud environments must be done through a support case. Please submit a support case in your private MyJive support group and a Jive Support will work with you to make the change.

 

 

Hosted and On-Prem:

Community managers can quickly disable all outgoing "Community Digest" emails, also known as the Digest Email, by setting the following system property:

 

jive.digest.enabled = false

A system restart is not necessary when applying this system property.

 

 

This will prevent all outgoing email digests, and it will also change the user's email preferences so that the Community Digest option is always set to "Never"
